On the 17th of January 08, C. Sinz and my self have made a census of large gulls on the 45 km of the swiss side of the Bodensee. We counted 60
Caspians, 47 YLG and 7 Herring Gulls. The number of Caspians is a record for our country. We counted also 49 Caspians at the austrian Rheindelta (very close to the swiss border).
Some Caspian pics of this day : 2 cy, 3 cy (2 pics) and ringed adults (3 pics).

A beautiful 1st winter Caspian Gull was present at my local patch the first day of 2008. It is the 10th different individual since the
27th of October 2007.
